While I’ve never been a huge comic book reader, I’ve always enjoyed the stories and worlds spawned from the medium. The 90’s X-Men cartoon got me hooked and with the new Marvel Cinematic Universe releasing hit after hit it’s hard not to get excited for more time with our favorite characters.
There are already plenty of exciting Marvel games online, you can find on Mansion88 a lot of gambling versions of Marvel games including Captain America: Civil War, which showed us that we have only begun to scratch the surface of this explosive world. It is with that in mind that we propose 3 MCU crossover games we’d love to see come to life.
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D & The Avengers
Let’s get the most obvious one out of the way first. The hit television show has already established it’s presence in The Avenger’s timeline. With AOS shifting it focus more towards enhanced people it’s only a matter of time before some of those agents start stepping in to lend a hand to the Avengers. Show me a game where smaller threats are doled out to S.H.I.E.L.D. agents with Avengers stepping in to take down bigger bosses.
This would make for an exciting story-driven game that gives fans a chance to see more interaction between the main cast of Marvel characters.
Spider-Man & Daredevil
New York City is definitely big enough for more than one hero, so why not have them team up in a game? It’s really only a matter of time before our favorite red-clad vigilantes cross paths. When they do you can bet a whole bunch of thugs are gonna get beat-up. What better threat to unite against then the Kingpin of Crime, Wilson Fisk? Since Fisk has already made his presence felt in the Daredevil TV show and Spidey is still riding high from his Civil War debut, now’s the perfect time to put them together in a game.
Give players the option to switch between the characters as they fight their way through the city subduing criminals. With Spider-Man clearing out the rooftops and Daredevil taking the fight to the streets, the bad guys won’t have anywhere to be safe.
Guardians of the Galaxy & X-Men
Okay, we’ve just officially moved into improbable dream world with this one, but hear me out. We get two super-powered teams of heroes to swap between while taking on every and any baddie on earth and beyond. I won’t pretend to know the story elements that would have to be set in motion to make this happen, but comic books aren’t exactly known for their believable plots. I want Peter Quill being snarky to Cyclops mid-battle while Rocket threatens to drink Wolverine under the table.
Seriously, this crossover would probably be best suited to a classic fighting game where players could mix and match their ultimate team from both casts.
