inspireme3[dropcap]R[/dropcap]ecently I was contacted by the developers of a game called Inspire Me, a small company called Blyts. I had never heard of this project, but after taking a look for myself, I thought it was worth mentioning here. Blyts has started their campaign for a great-looking point and click adventure, with an interesting premise and stretch goals that make sense, but what is it all about?

Inspire Me puts you in the shoes of a reckless young boy in the year 2043. You’ve been told to stay out of your father’s lab in the basement, but you decide that breaking the rules simply isn’t enough and bring a ball with you when you decide to go down there. Bouncing ensues, and things get broken, namely a time machine. Time gets all wibbly-wobbly, and it’s your job to go back in time and correct your accidental wrongdoing by inspiring great minds of the past, because your ball erased Beethoven’s Fifth somehow. Coming from fans of point and click classics, the team has faith in this game, and only time will tell how it turns out, but this may be a project to watch. Every stretch goal simply adds a chapter onto the game’s 3 that will be made if the initial goal is met.

Blyts is trying to raise only $20,000 to make the first 3 chapters of this time traveling adventure, Inspire Me, a reality, so if you’d like to help them take a step closer to that goal, you can hop over to Kickstarter and browse gameplay videos, art, and music from the game and see if any of those reward tiers look tempting. If you like what you see, but don’t want to invest right away, you can vote for Inspire Me on Steam Greenlight and it won’t cost a dime.
