For all the massively-budgeted games out there on Kickstarter, we often forget the most important role that the site can play. As I said in vivid detail in my editorial regarding the Potato Salad campaign, Kickstarter (and crowdfunding sites in general) is a place where people go to accomplish things beyond their current means. A successful indie game can change not only the life of the developer, but the lives of everyone the game touches, so it’s great to see a low-goal indie game from an unknown developer living in his car get funded.
