Fans of point-and-click adventure game AR-K can now rejoice as the third chapter of the ongoing sci-fi comedy now officially has a release date. According to the latest update, you can download and start playing it on July 14. That’s like only a week away. If you’re like me and can barely remember what happened previously you might want to get through the first two episodes. I mean, it has been a while since part two went live.

AR-K

As ex-police trainee and now journalist Alicia it’s up to you to uncover the truth behind the strange golden orb that has not once but twice popped up into your life and how it relates to the people in charge. At the end of the second episode you fought long and hard to get to the equally mysterious District 8. And you’ll be spending the majority of the episode going through this area and getting the scoop of a lifetime. If you don’t get censored first.

AR-K

Here’s the thing. The world of AR-K is supposed to be a utopian society. And on the surface it is. The first half of the game (there’s a total of four episodes planned) has you running around the campus where you’re studying journalism and other areas of the district you live in. Based on the trailer released for “The Great Escape” (which you can watch below), things aren’t as idyllic as it seems elsewhere. If anything, I’d consider District 8 quite the opposite. Almost like a refugee camp or something out of Bladerunner.

I’ve personally been waiting on the continuation of AR-K ever since I finally managed to get through the previous chapters and it looks like I’ll be enjoying playing through the new episode once it releases next week. But, it might be a good idea to get a recap in the meantime.
