Unless you play a lot of flight sims, there’s a surprising dearth of games which allow players to experience flight. In Igneos: The Last Phoenix you play as Pharos, a mythological bird. Of course, this means there’s a ton of flying to be had in this experience. Developers BearInMind Games describe their title as an “aerial combat adventure game” but even this doesn’t seem to fully define their project. So let’s get into what this one is all about.
Igneos: The Last Phoenix focuses on players discovering more and more of a destroyed world. A big part of the experience seems to be the joy of discovery and uncovering the world’s mysteries. You’ll have to solve puzzles to continue to explore more areas. Of course, this isn’t a tranquil landscape. There are enemies looking to destroy Pharos so you’ve got to defeat them first. Thankfully, players have access to a variety of flame-based attacks and grapple moves to succeed under any circumstances.
One thing that’s hard to notice when looking at Igneos: The Last Phoenix are its graphics. There’s a huge visual appeal present as the world is rendered with attractive 3D visuals. Of course, the phoenix itself is majestic with its flaming glow. But does the flight mechanic feel good? If you’re curious then try playing the demo!
BearInMind Games are asking for $40,000 CAD (about $33,500) to make this game a reality. Normally this is where we’d say to upvote the Steam Greenlight campaign if you aren’t able to pledge – but the game is already Greenlit! That means it’s already poised for a Windows release on Steam in the future.

40,000 seems a bit low from what im seeing in those pics.
