We here at Cliqist.com are completely excited about The Long Dark since the beginning, and why wouldn’t we be? It’s a stylized, survival game that takes place in a post-disaster Northern wilderness. You must be strategic and careful as you explore giant environments, controlling you caloric intake as well as your hunger, state of exhaustion, and temperature. It looks great, and after being funded in October of last year, the developers have been hard at work getting it ready for an undetermined release date, as well as a few other things.
If you’re just hearing about The Long Dark for the first time, it’s actually the perfect time to start checking it out since you can now explore the world of The Long Dark with a great new website. On the website, you’ll find a little more information on the title along with gorgeous screenshots. You can also watch the brand new trailer (linked below) and check out some more in-game artwork, read some blog posts about the game and how it’s progressing and being received, and join the community, where you can talk with over 7,000 fellow fans of the upcoming title, The Long Dark.
The Long Dark is being developed for Windows, Mac, and Linux, and will distributed through Steam and DRM-free versions. You can pre-order one of several versions of the game and sign up for The Long Dark newsletter on IntoTheLongDark.com.
