Wasteland Interactive has done it again with regards to crowdfunding. Since their initial Worlds of Magic Kickstarter campaign earlier this year the team appears to be making steady improvements to the 4X fantasy title. They returned to Kickstarter earlier this month looking to get additional funds. Though the goal was for $5,000, their campaign page explains that the $5,000 target is more of a guideline, and they’d like to get as much as they can.
Are they just being selfish? That doesn’t seem to be the case. According to them they want the additional funds to not just make the game look even better, and further build the community, but to give new and existing backers an opportunity to enjoy their numerous rewards.
Seems like the community is responding too, they’ve already raised over $18,000 with 17 days left in the campaign.
If you’re interested in checking Worlds of Magic out for yourself their campaign page has links to gameplay videos, as well as both a downloadable ad browser based demo.
