wings1Cinemaware has been really busy lately. After eight months of development, the remastered version of Wings is just about ready for release and is undergoing some bug fixing, which delayed it from the original release date of Sept. 30th. According to the Steam community page, it’s scheduled for release on October 17th. At the moment, Cinemaware has Wings: Remastered submitted to Steam Greenlight for voting. When Wings: Remastered is released, it will be available for PC and Mac. In the following weeks, the Android and iOS versions will be as well.

Simultaneously, the 1990 Amiga Emulated version will be available for download for the same platforms mentioned above.

Now that Cinemaware’s time has opened up a little bit, they will address their attention to rewards. Many of the digital rewards will be available for the game’s release but physical rewards won’t be produced until after it. Cinemaware gauges about 6-9 weeks for the production and shipment of physical rewards.

Next on Cinemaware’s list is the Wings expansion pack for a full German campaign. For this, Cinemaware is asking for $50K for the development. But they’re not turning to Kickstarter this time. They’ve set up a funding portal on their website to raise as much as they can without a deadline.
