longdarklogo1The Long Dark is one of those games that keep’s showing up on everyone’s “Most Anticipated Games” list, even though we’ve seen relatively little of it since it was funded on Kickstarter last year.  However, all of that changed in September when the game was released on Steam as Early Access that allows players to practice their survival skills; without having to worry about a pesky story.  You can read our review of it here, which will call out the fact that while The Long Dark is still an incomplete game, there’s a lot to love; even at this early stage.  You can even read a fairly depressing (but enjoyable!) bit of fiction centered on it as well.  Sarah “Sonky” McMaster recently did a lengthy Twitch session with the game, and watching it should give you a solid idea of what to expect if you decide to grab a copy yourself.

Now, without further ado, get ready to spend 3 hours in The Long Dark.
