Swinging Jivecat Voodoo Lounge is a new board game on Kickstarter that features voodoo spirits, 50's culture, and cocktails. Oh yeah!Do you adore the American 50s culture? There’s definitely a lot of amazing styles and concepts that came from the time along with many amusing ideas about the future. It was a period of immense change in the country and as such even many who were not alive at the time find it an era worth exploring. Game board designer Seth Roback is one of these people. He, along with a few other hepcats, have decided to turn their passion for the period into a board game by the name of Swinging Jivecat Voodoo Lounge on Kickstarter.

This game accommodates 2 to 5 players and lasts around 45 to 90 minutes.  According to the backstory you play as a voodoo spirit looking to have some fun with 50s era hipsters. Your goal is to get the cocktail lounge-goers to join up into cliques with you. Every time a cool new character joins your team you score monkey points (resulting in the player collecting physical hanging monkey tokens!). Once you’ve accumulated enough of these creatures – 15 in all – then you will be crowned the winner. All of this 50s cocktail culture saturates the board and cards themselves with gorgeous retro-inspired art by Sergei Marcet. Completing the effect is a different cocktail recipe on each card.
