Space based combat has been around for decades and has proven itself to be a popular multiplayer pastime. Between titles like Elite and X-Wing vs. Tie Fighter taking down other ships is a fun diversion from other types of action games. And Galaxy Heist takes this approach and beautifully merges it with first-person shooter fun.
Galaxy Heist takes two very different genres and merges them into one two-part grudge match. Each battle starts out with 4-5 players in a large ship taking on other ships with 4-5 players on board. And each match can have several ships in the fight. The aim is to disable each of the enemy’s ships and then board them to either destroy them from within or to commandeer them for their own use.
The second half of the game takes place on board said ships as it’s basically a race to either oust the intruders or to kick the defenders out of their home. And there is plenty that you can do to take it down from within. Shoot out windows to cause massive decompression, blow up doors, and turn the air back on before you suffocate all the while beating the living crap out of everyone you come across. Sounds like fun, no?
Galaxy Heist is all about fast-paced action. In the ship-to-ship battles you can pilot the ship, take control of one of the mounted turrets, or take control of one of the ship’s many drones. And the best part is that the game’s AI will take control of whichever one you aren’t using at the moment. And you can play it either online or offline.
If you’ve ever wanted to live life as a pirate and board ships for fun then Galaxy Heist is for you. And you can customize your character and ships as you see fit.

Ah another one of those games i liked the look of until i heard the words multiplayer thrown about along the lines of evolve/left 4 dead in a space setting.
My issue with them is content or usually lack of which makes it quicker for them to make. but then they have the issue of server upkeep which is my issue with online games that with the smaller titles the servers will be switched off at some point.
Shame really as if this had a full one single player story driven campaign mode i would have been all over this
I totally agree with you on this. I love the concept but I don’t see it worth backing unless it had a good story. I’m not much of a multiplayer gamer these days outside of MMOs.
With me i was a online gamer but i got sick having my enjoyment of a game based on other people rather then the game standing on its own right. I think the issue with the game will be they will compromise the space sim and the fps. As the space part will be nowhere near elite/star citizen/or even the X series quality and the FPS may not get close to the huge amount of FPS games out there.
