Just in time for Halloween fans of adventure games will be treated to a mini-game for SpaceVenture, the Two Guys from Andromeda’s crowdfunded adventure game. Cluck Yegger in Escape From the Planet of the Poultroid is a Five Nights at Freddy’s parody where our titular fowl is forced to crash land on the planet housing the BFC headquarters. Colonel Zanders, Yegger’s nemesis, has left a present for our intrepid hero in the form of what can best be described as zombie chickens. And not just any chickens, but fried chickens. Obviously.

SpaceVenture fans already know about Cluck Yegger and how he’s Ace Hardway’s personal hero, but what do we know about said poultry? While this mini-game doesn’t go into any depth on Yegger’s backstory we do learn a few things during the non-horror parts of the game. As one of the beta testers I got to try out the game ahead of time so without spoiling anything just know that fans of the genre should be treated to a finger lickin’ good time. Let’s just say that thanks to Scott, Mark, and Chris I now have a deep seated phobia of fried chicken and leave it at that.

So, according to SpaceVenture‘s latest update the plan is to release this short game by the end of the month. They’ll be pre-releasing it to backers on October 29 with a public release presumably sometime after. Also, so that they can try to get it out onto as many platforms as possible they just launched a Greenlight campaign to get it on Steam. So, if you have an account consider giving it an upvote. The last update didn’t mention anything about backers getting free keys, but with this one they’re promising that everyone who backed will get a DRM-free copy and a Steam key if it makes it through the voting process.
