There’s something almost cheeky about Outpost 13‘s latest update, which I absolutely adore, but for all the wrong reasons. Just read this:

Spring Is Here!!!

Thank you everyone for all your support through the 2015/2016 winter season! You’re awesome!

Bad News:

-Act 2 has been delayed until late this year.

Good News:

-Act 2 is actually still in development (PC, PS Vita & Fire TV).

-Outpost 13 is both releasing in new countries, as well as receiving a price drop (waiting for it to go live now).

I understand this isn’t the news you were hoping for, however I’m working to get Act 2 finished and released as soon as possible. Thank you everyone for your ongoing patience and support for Outpost 13.

Thanks,

Max Hall

Cantina Games

Oh, hai! We’re delaying the game, but it’s still in development. K thx bai.

Outpost 13What?! You’re not even going to give your 309 backers a hint as to why their $4,790 is going to take a little longer to blossom? Gotta love the balls on Cantina Games. But still, an update is an update, I guess, and it’s better than keeping backers in the dark altogether. What’s even more hilarious is the fact that four backers have ‘liked’ the update.

Yup, perfectly satisfied with that update. Nothing unusual about that at all.

I’m not saying people should be more negative, but being a little more critical would go a long way to ensure everybody interested in Outpost 13 is kept in the know and communicating effectively.

Outpost 13 is a point-and-click adventure/strategy tribute to the science fiction genre. It has players take control of a monster and attempt to escape doom on an icy planet. For more on the game, see our previous coverage.
