Car Mechanic Simulator 2015 will soon be getting its sixth and seventh DLC packs, developer PlayWay have announced. The former will add cars from the Maserati catalogue while the latter will add the iconic DeLorean that famously featured in the Back to the Future trilogy of films.

No release dates or prices are revealed in the Kickstarter update, but perusing the Playway Facebook page reveals the Maserati pack is due to launch in July 2016 while the DeLorean pack could materialize from October 2016.

Car Mechanic Simulator 2015

I confess to never having realised that Car Mechanic Simulator 2015 was originally a Kickstarter title, despite regularly seeing it pop up as one of the higher-rated titles in the frequent Steam sales. But after further investigation I discovered that despite having only raised a fairly modest total of $17,855 back in February 2015 it’s gone onto to be a real Kickstarter success story with a 92% approval rating on Steam (from over 3,000 reviews) and a thriving community.

Kickstarter backers were also lucky enough to receive the first two Car Simulator 2015 DLC packs for free, and although they’re now having to pay for DLC updates the general consensus is that they’re happy to do so – clear evidence of a well-run Kickstarter campaign.
