I’m all for strange and surreal games. The stranger the better. However, sometimes one comes around that might be too weird for me. In the case of an adventure titled Kickstarted in the Butt, this might be the case. After watching the video and reading the pitch I’m left wondering what the hell I just saw. Sometimes this can be a good thing and sometimes it can be bad.

Kickstarted in the Butt

Apparently, Kickstarted in the Butt, or “Project Tingler”, is an FMV adventure game inspired by the works of a Chuck Tingler. I really don’t know who this guy is, but from what I’ve seen here I’m kinda afraid to even look him up. Still, there’s something there that has me tempted to put in a dollar just to know more. Perhaps it’s the buff unicorn cop or the weird bus with a human face, but I’m finding myself wanting more information.

There Is a Story

From what I can gather, Kickstarted in the Butt tells the tale of a father in search of his cute missing son Jon. You’ll be going to “exotic and erotic” locations as you go on a journey that will make any man blush. While certainly sensual, this isn’t really a porn game. I’d probably go with a strange but tasteful romp that tries to prove love is real, or something.

Kickstarted in the Butt

Whether I back Kickstarted in the Butt or not, at least I know this is a free game. One other reason why I’m considering giving money to this one is that most of the team are queer. I’m a huge supporter of the LGBT community, and while certainly strange this might be one worth checking out. At least I know who Zoe Quinn is.
