I’ll be the first to admit I’m not much of a fan of Metroidvania type games these days. I just don’t have the reflexes for it anymore. However, Anew: The Distant Light does look like an interesting game despite the genre it’s in. The graphics certainly don’t look bad based on the video and screenshots offered on the website.

Anew: The Distant Light

There’s not a whole lot to go on right now, as the majority of the information is either purely visual or in bullet points right now. That said, there will be a Kickstarter coming soon for Anew: The Distant Light. February 14, according to the developers. Hopefully things like story and gameplay can be expanded upon then.

Even though Anew: The Distant Light might not be my cup of proverbial tea, it does look like a good game. For those interested in this play style, you might enjoy what they have to offer. And come next month we’ll hopefully have more information to go on. Until then, enjoy the teaser video they made below.
