Back in 2013 Nicola and Anthony Caulfield launched a Kickstarter campaign for From Bedrooms to Billions, a feature length documentary about the history of the UK games industry. This was a great success and is available now via download, DVD, or Blu-Ray. With that project out of the way they have now decided to focus on one of  the most beloved computers in Europe – The Commodore Amiga. Hence, their new documentary is titled From Bedrooms to Billions: The Amiga Years!

This documentary will be 90 minutes long and be offered in the same formats as their last one. It came about thanks to the fact they couldn’t dedicate nearly as much time to the Amiga as they wanted with the first documentary film (as that was a comprehensive look at the industry from 70s to today). Of course other computers of the era must be mentioned, but the focus of this film is all about Amiga. Tons of interviews are planned with Amiga developers and related industry icons. No names were announced just yet, though you can see a few famed individuals in their Kickstarter video such as Mark Cerny.

A little over a week into the campaign, From Bedrooms to Billions: The Amiga Years! has done quite well for itself. They’re currently at 70% funded of the £50,000 goal (about $75,200) and still have most of the month to go. Folks who loved the Amiga or simply want to learn more about this aspect of gaming history should definitely consider backing or checking out the first From Bedrooms to Billions film.
