For those who don’t know what the Mystery of Oak Island is, it is a journey to the titular island in Nova Scotia Canada. For centuries there has been debate over what treasures lie long buried in the sands of time and if it’s even real. To date nothing has been unearthed as to what this secret has to tell.
But, the tale of The Mystery of Oak Island will attempt to answer these burning questions and more. Six treasure hunters have died while searching for this mythical treasure and for all we know the player could become the seventh. And he (and his partner) aren’t the only ones looking for it. And there will be some time hopping to the past to meet a third playable character.
The Mystery of Oak Island is being developed by the same company that created the popular Visionaire Studio adventure game engine. It’s most well known as the development platform for most of Daedalic’s titles and their own Zak McCracken Between Time and Space. Which will release in English the same day that the Kickstarter will launch. And it will be free to play.
I’ve seen projects bounce back and make it a second time before and I have no doubt that The Mystery of Oak Island will be one of these games. So, if you’re interested in buried treasure and centuries-long mysteries then mark your calendars for May 12th.
Serena, you should tell that guy to contact me so i don’t back his game :P.
With my luck when it comes to adventure games..creators should send me a remind email 48 hrs before any attempt on kickstarter..so that i can avoid them. At least it might gives them a chance xD
Awww, don’t say that. You’re a valuable member of the adventure community. It wouldn’t be the same without you. 😉
