Sekai Project has just returned to Kickstarter once again! This time they’re presenting LizArts’ upcoming visual novel Memory’s Dogma. If you’ve been following Sekai Project, then you might remember that this partnership was just announced at FanimeCon 2015. In any case, it looks to be a far bit more serious than, say, the also recently-launched tank dating sim Panzermadels. The story places us in a near-future sci-fi setting where human memories can be extracted, saved, and even stolen. Protagonist Kusuhara Hiroki is struggling after the death of his dear friend. Luckily, there are these places called Connect Centers where you can revisit the stored memories of the deceased.

His goal is to actually liberate the memories of his friend. But, once working through the plan, he realizes the truth of the Connect Centers… If you’re a fan of fururist-style writing then this tale definitely seems up your alley. With that said, Memory’s Dogma is in very early development at the moment. So far they don’t even have actual screenshots from the main game, just a prototype UI screen alongside some cool animated sequences and background art.

Memory’s Dogma has a Kickstarter goal of $30,000. This is higher than most of the other indie Sekai Project campaigns (World End Economica – complete-, fault milestone one -director’s cut-, WAS – The Hourglass of Lepidoptera). Even so, as with every other Kickstarter it is most likely to be totally over-funded by the end. You can help this visual novel out by upvoting the title on Steam Greenlight as well to ensure Memory’s Dogma releases on the popular digital storefront.
