Steam Battle is a Steampunk MMO Shooter that's currently crowdfunding on Kickstarter.

What types of things do many gamers love? Let’s see… Shooters, MMOs, and steampunk aesthetics. Three years ago Wild Wolf Game Studios began creating a game which captured all these aspects to create a new, exciting game. They came up with Steam Battle and have worked on it ever since. Basically, the game takes place in an alternate Middle Ages where tons of steam vehicles exist (and look much cooler than any cars we have today). Player groupings of over 20 can jump into a map together and battle it out against enemies with weapons mounted on top of their vehicles.

Right now there are two main vehicle types which are cars/tanks and helicopters. Of course, they don’t want to stop at that. Other additional vehicles include airship and mech. Each vehicle has its own weight class (light versus heavy) which impacts its strength, speed, and number of mountable guns. For example, the Cerberus is a massive, slow tank but it can house three weapons at once! Despite these classes each player can still modify their preferred car as they see fit. Every main part can be switched out to affect statistics.

With that said, there doesn’t seem to be much talk about where exactly microtransactions come into play on the Kickstarter page. Will they be purely cosmetic or offer something more? Hopefully an update will clear this aspect up. They need $100,000 to be successful in getting Steam Battle onto Windows computers with all four vehicle types, new maps, and new gameplay modes.
