Welcome back to Cliqist, everyone! It’s so nice to see your smiling faces back here, and to thank you for your continued loyalty to our great regime, I’m going to supply you with all the news you could possibly need (under the assumption that all you need is news about crowdfunded gaming.) We’ve got news about space stuff, news about undead stuff, news about flying stuff, but first… News about naked stuff.
[divider]That’s right folks! Now, it’s understandable if you were starting to get a little worried about the subtle blend of anime porn and strategy that is Aching Dreams 3: The Dark Planet. Since it was slated to launch at the beginning of the year and the year’s more than halfway over, it certainly seemed to backers that the developer had taken the backers’ money and taken off, but fortunately for all involved, production is going according to schedule and most elements of the game are finished or near completion.
[divider]In the same vein, if you backed Infinite Space 3: Sea of Stars, you may still be in the dark about the game’s current state. That is, unless you’ve been keeping an eye on the game’s Steam page, where updates have been posted on a weekly basis. Those of you who only frequent Kickstarter, however, have probably been at a bit of a loss, so the developers have poked their head in the door to let Kickstarter dwellers know that development is continuing well, the in-game interface has gotten an interface-lift, and quite a bit of content has been added with much more on the way.
[divider]MechRunner has also gotten a great visual upgrade lately, and it’s really something to behold. Not only has the entire game been renovated to look even better than before, but XP-41, the game’s protagonist-bot, will be sporting special sponsorship colors for an upcoming tour with Alienware, donning a striking neon green for the events.
[divider]Clever segue! If you don’t already know about Planetary Annihilation, you haven’t been to Steam’s main storefront in the last two months, because its Early Access release has been doing extremely well, and now we finally have a release date for the final version. Those of you who’ve already been playing the game have something to look forward too, because the launch edition of the game is getting quite a few upgrades to both single and multiplayer modes.
[divider]Dead State‘s beta also just launched, so if you’re looking for a great take on the zombie survival formula, there’s not better time to check it out. The update announcing this is dominated by an incredible changelog that shows off how much progress has been made, and let me be the first to tell you, a lot has changed. Over 75 new locations have been added, over 30 new items, over 500 new dialogues, and so much more.
[divider]Wings: Remastered Edition will be starting its second wave of beta testing very soon as well, and it’ll probably be the last wave of beta in preparation for the final release. Thanks to a very lucrative partnership with Kalypso, you’ll be able to play in many more languages than originally thought including English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, and Russian. Target release for PC is September 15th, so buckle in!
[divider]Legends of Eisenwald has been making progress as usual as well, and it’s really showing through in their newly redesigned graphic user interface. The functionality and aesthetic appeal has all been completely uprooted and improved. It’s really gorgeous, and it looks like it’s going to make the game much easier to play. The patch also covers a lot of other fixes in the way of in-game stat calculations, window changing, and other small issues.
[divider]A smaller campaign, Contradiction, has had a bit of a rough development so far, but things seem to be coming to a satisfactory close. There are still a few sizable bumps in the road, but the game proper seems to be near completion. Right now, the biggest thing missing is music, and even that isn’t absent, it’s just not as expansive as the developer would like. Now, the biggest question is how to distribute it. The developer may be leaning away from Steam, but many backers think this is a mistake.
[divider]Also, if you’ve been enjoying the completed and released Ancient Dystopia, keep an eye out for two bugs that the developer missed during production. The developer is warning players, “Do not talk to the Coalition Leader after he tells you about Rose. If you do, you will have to send your save file to me at support@dystopiagames.com if you want to continue with the storyline.” and “Collecting the Glyph Book before talking to Keegan for the first time will result in a crash. To avoid this, don’t explore the ruins until after talking to Keegan for the first time.”
[divider]Earlier this month, Back to Bed was released on Steam after a year of development. But the plans for mobile devices had been in the works for a while. Just a few days ago, on August 28th, Back to Bed was released for Android and iOS devices – including tablets.
