nj2There can’t be many jobs more depressing than crime scene cleaner, regardless of what Amy Adams tells you.  A new project from, its-not-a-typo, Hurmit Games puts you in that depressingly grimy world of crime scene custodial engineering.  Night Job is a top-down RPG with NES inspired gameplay graphics, and some slick looking Sin City style cut scenes, where you play said custodian trying to get by in life.  Things get a bit more complicated when you realize that all of your recent jobs involve cleaning up after the same killer.  The “donut chasers” don’t seem to care, and Gil Grissom is nowhere to found, so it’s up to you get to the bottom of things!

There isn’t a lot of additional information available at the moment.  The funding video, while very slick, is comprised entirely of cutscenes, so there’s still some question as to how the game will actually play.  A recently added screenshot may help give a better idea, but you’ll want to keep an eye on the updates for more information.

The Kickstarter campaign for Night Job runs until October 11th and has a funding target of $6,500.
