ranchcombat2This farmyard animal combat game is less Animal Farm, and more closely resembles Charlotte’s Web on a bad day. Sweet little Nugget, that’s the gerbil looking guy, is reaching his limit when it comes to the other animals taking his food; and he’s not going to take it anymore!  Shying away from anything too violent, Ranch Combat features Nugget engaging in some cartoonish combat with the other animals in the yard.  If funding goes well then Nugget will be able to improve his skills through an RPG style skill progression system.  Nugget’s going to need it given the variety of enemies he needs to keep away from his food.  There’s ground enemies in the form of rats, chickens, and squirrels.  There’s also airborne units in the form of eagles and vultures, not to mention subterranean moles that have a way of sneaking up on Nugget.

The developers behind Ranch Combat are emphasizing approachability and simplicity over anything too complex of serious, so set your expectations accordingly.  Check out the Ranch Combat Kickstarter for yourself before the November 28th deadline and decide whether you’d like to make a contribution towards the $24,000 funding goal.
