star-citizen-2Roberts Space Industries has unveiled the latest toy to keep rabid space-sim fans satiated until the $37mil behemoth that is Star Citizen is released; the Organization System.  While not as sexy as the previously released Hangar Module, which let you explore your own ship, the Organization System is significant none-the-less.  Using the new web based tool users can create their own organizations and start recruiting and interacting with members.  So sure, it’s basically some guild tools, but given the dedication and fervor that Star Citizen fans have shown over a game that’s still years away from release it’s easy to see that the Organization System is just the next step in a rapidly expanding universe.  We’ll be hearing stories of murder-for-hire plots and marriages in no time, I’m sure.

If you’d like to learn more about Star Citizen I wish you luck.  There’s a ton of  information to process; even pledging can be a bit overwhelming given all the choices.  Look for our very own Star Citizen guide in the coming weeks where we try and peel back the onion a bit on this beast.
