dysfunctional1It’s unusual to see a funding campaign for an existing game that’s been on sale for almost a year, but that’s what we have with the Dysfunctional Systems Kickstarter campaign.  The team over at Dischan Media released the first episode of their Dysfuntional Systems visual novel trilogy last April, and it received a very favorable response from fans of the genre.  Unfortunately they weren’t able to sell enough copies to fund the next two episodes as quickly as they’d like, so they’ve turned to Kickstarter.

Dysfunctional Systems follows the exploits of Winter Harrison, a student mediator from a utopian world as she travels to chaotic worlds and attempts to help them solve their problems.  It’s like cultural imperialism inspired by anime and space travel.

If you’d like to check out the first episode of Dysfunctional Systems you can grab it from Steam for under $5.00.  You might also want to take a look at Dischan’s previous game, the very popular Juniper’s Knot, it can give you a good idea of what you can expect from the team, and it’s free.

The Dysfunctional Systems Kickstarter campaign runs until March 24th and has a funding goal of $49,000.
