The Enchanted Cave 2 is now seeking funding on Kickstarter, and developer Dustin Auxier needs your help to make the sequel to his original flash and mobile game a reality! Featuring the trademark roguelike gameplay of the original with randomly generated floors and instances, The Enchanted Cave 2 sets out to improve upon every aspect of the original by giving us more of absolutely everything.
The Enchanted Cave 2 will feature more of everything that made the original great: more enemies, more variation in level generation, more loot, better combat, and crafting! Every cave will feature secret areas for you to explore too, making every experience unique and full of surprises. To top it all off, the soundtrack features the music of the one and only Grant Kirkhope, the composer of Banjo-Kazooie, Goldeneye 007, Perfect Dark, and the recent Kickstarter success, A Hat in Time! This installment will also be much more fleshed-out, and story driven. The storyline and quests are optional, but should you choose to take this path, your hub will be the town, and quests will be disbursed by well-written NPCs, making their way in the now tourist hotspot surrounding The Enchanted Cave.
The Enchanted Cave 2 is currently being developed and looking for a Greenlight on Steam, so even if you don’t have the cash to back it on Kickstarter, you can support the game’s PC release. Backers can expect a number of rewards, most of which include making gear for the game including weapons, shield, armor, and charms. Don’t forget to try out the first game, there’s a link on The Enchanted Cave 2’s Kickstarter, and remember to vote on Steam Greenlight if you support the release!
