urbanexplorer2A few games in recent memory have taken entire landmarks and cities into the digital world before, but Urban Explorer, a first-person exploration game seeking funding on Kickstarter and developed by Mayhem Games, will take you to Motorland City, a place not copied from real life, but inspired by it, and built for exploration. Urban Explorer will take you behind the scenes as you discover the unseen areas of realistic buildings and ruins with AAA graphics and full voice acting. Let’s take a look at how the game will work.

Urban Explorer will be, well, exactly what the name says. The main character of the story arrives in the broken down, dilapidated, and abandoned town of Motorland City in search of photos, information, and adventure. The city was evacuated due to a contamination in the water supply. Now the area is empty save for police and the stubborn few that decided to stay behind. You’ll have to survive, explore, and craft items to help you in your adventure in Motorland, uncovering information on what really happened there and why it’s so carefully guarded.

Urban Explorer is currently being developed by the small but talented team at Mayhem Games, and they only need $75,000 to make this potential AAA dream a reality. 5% of all funds raised will be donated to other Kickstarter projects if the initial goal is reached, and backers can score physical rewards and digital rewards aplenty. For Windows, Mac, and Linux, it’s Urban Explorer by Mayhem Games.
