tugwacsa1In the American school system, we heavily rely on standardized testing. It’s just the way the cookie crumbles. During certain sections testing there’s a particular tool we use to solve problems, a graphic calculator. Students all across the nation are practically required to own TI-83+ and TI-84 calculators for both their mathematics and science courses. Look in the backpack of almost any high school student and you’ll find one there, it seems everyone has one. However, they’re not always used for schoolwork; there’s actually a sizable gaming community built around TI games.

tugwacsa2Enter Yargonauts studios from North Richland Hills, Texas, a small team looking to take TI gaming to a new level with their game, TUGWACSA. At the moment, they’ve managed to create a working version of TUGWACSA on the TI-83+, which they have available for free via a link on their Kickstarter page. However, additional funding is needed complete the game, and to make it available on the TI-84. Their campaign is appropriately modest given the project, with a goal of only $1,500.

tugwacsa3At the moment, TUGWACSA Kickstarter page is a bit barren, only containing screen shots of TUGWACSA along with a little information about the project. As you might expect from a project with so little information TUGWACSA has been unable to raise any funds so far, but the campaign is running until July 3rd.
