republique1Another free game! Don’t you just love that? This time around it’s an action/stealth iPad game from Camouflaj (comprised of some folks behind F.E.A.R., Halo 4, and MGS 4). République was funded on Kickstarter back in May of 2012 to the tune of $555,000, and has been met with very positive reviews since it was first released last year. In République players are contacted by a woman named Hope who’s trying to escape from an oppressive Orwellian state. Players don’t directly control the action, but instead monitor Hope’s progress by way of security cameras. By opening doors, overriding security measures, distracting guards and more players can clear a path for Hope to stroll to freedom.

The first chapter of République is now available for free via the Apple App Store until June 12th. If you like it you can always buy the recently released second chapter for $4.99, or get a season pass for $14.99, which will net you all chapters, including the soon to be released 3rd.

If you’re not fancy enough to have an iPad or iPhone then don’t worry, you’ll be able to purchase République via Steam a little later this year.
