splee1From the team that brought you GhostControl Inc. comes a collaboration project with German studio, Frame6. Application Systems Heidelberg Software GmbH and Frame 6 have teamed up to create a unique spin on the RTS for PC, Mac, and Linux (Ubuntu, specifically).

A strange world far away has been inhabited by an evil robotic army that’s taking every bit of the planet’s resources; but Splee, the engineer, isn’t having it! She teams up with her friend Glob to stop these robots from taking over.

Splee & Glob can be played single player or co-op. Together, with tower-building, tower placement, and even combat. Players can switch between Splee and Glob to use their special abilities to create an effective defense. The entire levels are covered with a hexagon grid for monster placement. The horde of robots will stop at nothing to make sure you or your monsters are knocked out, so you’ll have to be on your toes for anything and everything.

splee2At the moment, they have a playable prototype available for download directly on the Kickstarter page for download for backers and potential ones alike.

This project has been in development for roughly a year. Frame6 received some funding by the federal state of Northrhine-Westfalia but they’ll need much more to get this project going. Especially since start-ups and indie companies have such a hard time financially in Germany.

So, this duo has approached the Kickstarter community for £60,000 to make Splee & Glob a reality. Roughly £1.4K has been raised so far with 32 days to go, things are looking pretty good. If they surpass the funding goal, we can anticipate Splee & Glob expanding to other consoles
