longnight1It seems like yesterday that Long Night, a survival horror game in the classic tradition of Resident Evil, was funded. Developers Trickster Face raised $12,507 (CAD) for their episodic spooky-spooky adventure, ending their Kickstarter on January 15th. Development cycles for things like this usually take much longer, but lo and behold, Long Night Episode 1, titled Alone I Break has been distributed to backers! As far as I could find, there were no high-profile reviews for the title yet, but I’m definitely excited to see what Trickster Face accomplished in this relatively short amount of time. Either they had a good deal of the work done prior to funding or they’re just quick devs.

longnight2If you aren’t in-the-know about this one, it’s definitely worth a look to survival horror fans. You can check out Long Night’s Kickstarter campaign for some information and artwork from the game, but what better way to take a look at a game than playing it yourself? Well, you’re in luck, because even though the title’s demo appears to have been removed from their site, there’s tons of gameplay on YouTube and you can purchase episode one on Steam for just $4.99!
