enchantedkingdom1We’ve covered Enchanted Kingdom a few times here on Cliqist and it’s time for an update; we’re definitely long overdue for one. In August, CG Development decided to redo their Kickstarter campaign now that they have a better understanding of marketing and community development. Since the relaunch of their campaign, there have been many huge changes to the gameplay, the art style, and the campaign itself.

enchantedkingdom2Enchanted Kingdom is a puzzle platformer about children trying to stop an evil wizard that has captured the remaining children of the land. The wizard has captured the princess and kingdom’s population of children. With the use of brain over brawn, one boy fights his way through the obstacles set by the evil wizard to save his friends.

In the original and relaunched campaigns, Enchanted Kingdom has developed a bit of a community dedicated to seeing this game become a reality. In the time since the relaunch, CG has released a new Enchanted Kingdom Demo and multiple updates, all with more solid gameplay and redone artwork.

enchantedkingdom3Most importantly, out of all the changes CG Development has implemented in the past month, the one that stands out most of all is their brand new Kickstarter video. With the new artwork and redesigned protagonist, Enchanted Kingdom is starting to mature and becoming significantly more well rounded. With their new video, the Limbo and Incredible Machine influences are prominent. In addition to the new video, CG Development has posted multiple gameplay videos, showing off the puzzle solving dynamic and overall appearance of the new Enchanted Kingdom. The funding goal is still £6,150 though only £375 has been raised so. With the changes done to Enchanted Kingdom, some more support may be on the way.
