Looking to become g video game journalist?  Are you passionate about indie games, and have a strong interest in crowdfunding? Want to make a few bucks on the side? Great!  We’re looking for people to contribute to the voice of Cliqist.  Here are the details.
Qualified applicants should:
  • Have a strong grasp of the English language
  • Be able to produce work that requires minimal editing
  • Have a PC that can play most indie games
  • Be familiar with WordPress
  • Be able to present their own story pitches other than reviews and previews and not wait for assignments
  • Be willing to stay up to date on the world of video game crowdfunding

If you meet the criteria above, then here are some additional details:

  • Each 500 word article pays $5. Higher or lower pay is negotiable based on word count
  • Monthly bonus program based on story traffic. Payouts can be $100 or more on top of your normal pay
  • To be eligible for bonus program you’ll need to submit at least two feature length articles per month*
  • Payments are sent via PayPal when you request them, with no minimum dollar amount.
  • Your writing style be straight laced, weird, crazy, or however creative you’d like to make it. The only non-acceptable styles are overly negative, angry, or bitter.

  • Two original and unpublished 250 word news pieces relating to any video game being currently crowdfunded (Will not be published unless you’re hired)
  • 2 sample pitches relating to video game crowdfunding or a crowdfunded game

*you’re welcome to exclude yourself from the bonus program if you like so that you don’t need to worry about the monthly minimum.
