It’s that time of the space year again when the Space Pope himself shows his digital face to the crowds of believers in another SpaceVenture update, brought to you by The Two Guys From Andromeda. It’s been a bit of a hiatus since the last update but the latest contribution to assault our senses is ripe full of fun and…tacos?…and chicken? So, what do the talents of Scott Murphy and Mark Crowe have to show us this time? A good deal, actually.

SpaceVenture

Those of us who have been following the development of SpaceVenture since its inception in early 2012 know that one of the playable characters is a space chicken of some renown. No, not Astro Chicken. He and his missus went off to have a family or something. At least that’s what I read in the Galactic Inquirer. It’s none other than Cluck Y’egger, personal hero to Ace Hardway.

SpaceVenture

According to the update, Ace somehow manages to get himself on the testing team of a Cluck Y’egger game known as “Escape From The Planet of the Poultroid”. The yolks keep coming as Cluck’s nemesis Colonel Zanderz has a beef with our hero and he has to navigate the BFC poultroid cloning facility and do whatever needs to be done to scramble the colonel’s hard boiled plan. Sounds like a lot of fun and I certainly look forward to eggsperiencing the game-within-a-game.

What else does our fearless Chris Pope have to show off to fans? Tacos! There’s a short video showcasing the Taco Nova eatery with music by everyone’s favorite Sierra composer Ken Allen. Fans of Space Quest should love this homage to Monolith Burger. I know that I’m drooling over that space food. And Josh Mandel gets in on the action with some humorous commercials on the “Holotube”. Seriously, there’s a lot of awesomeness in one little update.
