Read Only Memories, the cyberpunk adventure game released on PC in October 2015, will be coming to both PS4 and PS Vita in 2016. The news was announced by developer MidBoss as an update on the Kickstarter page of Read Only Memories along with an official post on the PlayStation Blog.

Originally funded as a Kickstarter campaign in December 2013 with an impressive total of just over $64,000 Read Only Memories was eventually released to warm reviews that scored in the 80s and 90s while 91% of its Steam user reviews are positive. The game is initially notable for its retro-futuristic style and setting but ultimately more so for its emphasis on diversity, which is unsurprising as MidBoss was formed as an offshoot of the GamerX group specialising in LBGT-supportive gaming conventions.

An exact date for the PS4 and Vita release has yet to be confirmed but it likely won’t be until at least March 2016, as due to participation in Ouya’s Free the Games Fund a six month exclusivity period is required before Read Only Memories can be made available on other platforms.
