It’s been a while since we last heard from Oded Sharon and Adventure Mob about the status of their reggae themed point and click adventure game Bolt Riley but after two months we finally get some great news. As of now anyone who pledged to the Kickstarter campaign should have received their Humble keys sent to them. Unless you backed at a tier that gets the alpha and beta builds ($90+) all you can do is claim your page and wait. But, if you did splurge and dig deep enough you should be able to start playing right away.

But what if you want to get your hands on a copy before the full release? Have no fear as the latest update didn’t just let everyone know to look out for an e-mail with their Humble code. Oded mentions that there are two more ways to get in on the fun early on. The first is to hit up the “slacker backer” page and donate more money to Bolt Riley. The other way is much cheaper but won’t guarantee you a spot on the testing team. If you’re dedicated to testing and are willing to play until your eyes bleed to knock out bugs before release you can sign up for free via the signup page. If you do this, then all the luck to you.Bolt Riley

Even if you’re not interested in seeing an unfinished product, the update concludes on a hopefully high note. Obviously, Bolt Riley isn’t ready to ship but it’s getting much closer. All of the story, dialogue, animations, and puzzles are in and the main thing to get is the voice overs and finished music on top of a few other finishing touches. And, of course, plenty of bug squashing. While I didn’t give high enough to snag an early access key I’m hopeful to be one of the lucky few to get a testing copy.
