I’ll be one of the first to admit that I love Myst-style games, even if most of the puzzles have me needing to look up a walkthrough. And I know that I’m far from the only one, as Obduction made a lot of money during its Kickstarter. That said, development was plagued with some setbacks, most notably the loss of a potential publisher. However, Cyan continued to chug along and the game was just released, according to the latest update.

Obduction

All backers owed a copy of Obduction should have received their keys by now or will soon. This is a game three years in the making and hopefully lives up to the pedigree of Cyan’s previous outings. After watching the trailer, which you can view below, it certainly looks pretty. I personally look forward to checking out the worlds that they’ve created (at least once I get my key).
