I love a game with unique concepts. Whether it’s in the story, gameplay, or artwork if it speaks to me I’ll listen. With Antegods, it’s probably a combination of all three. Plus, it also boasts the self-coined genre “stonepunk”. I guess that’s supposed to be related to the ancient civilization aspect with a sci-fi feel. Frankly, I don’t know much more about it than that.

Antegods

Antegods is supposedly an arena action game pitting two teams of four old school civs that have somehow made it into space before dieing out. Yeah, don’t ask me to go into any more detail than that. It’s certainly an interesting concept, and one I’d love to know more about. While their Web site shows little, the game will be hitting the shores of Fig on March 7. You can watch the countdown clock if you want.

Antegods

In the meantime, you can watch their trailer below. I may not be a fan of this type of gameplay, but Antegods does intrigue me enough to take a look after it launches.
