more1IdeaLcenter has put up a sizeable update for M.O.R.E. and things have made a lot of progress since the previous update. A lot of features have been implemented since their last update, including a visit to Pixel Heaven in June.

The main part of M.O.R.E.’s economy, building system, espionage/sabotage system, space battle mode, and omnipedia system are complete. Now players have an information screen that will keep the player updated about current events going on and any interesting alerts relating to them. Additionally, players can now contact aliens through the diplomacy system and interact with different creatures. On top of that, the galaxy has been broken down into smaller segments, allowing players only to view on section at a time rather than dealing with an overwhelming amount of Space to explore at once.

Bottom line: IdeaLcenter is making some fantastic process with the gameplay and the galaxy altogether.

But IdeaLcenter isn’t the only party involved here, they’ve brought the backers in on the development process. A team of backers, known as the “text developers,” are putting together all the lore in M.O.R.E. as well as any conversation involved in the diplomacy outlet.

Generally, the team has been improving tiny features, testing, finishing up some graphics (both 2D and 3D), and wrapping up the SFX and music (which is about 85% completed).

You see, M.O.R.E. is moving pretty far already but IdeaLcenter is coming back to Kickstarter extra funds. With these funds, they can continue paying several members of the development team to do more work on M.O.R.E. for the projected extra time.  They’re going to improve much of the music and SFX and include some stretch goal features. IdeaLcenter wants to know directly from the backers what features belong in M.O.R.E. so they have created a poll for backers to cast a vote for one of the three options which include a Galaxy Editor, Quick Battle Mode, and elaborately designed space stations.

Now, don’t fret! According to the developers, the funding will just make M.O.R.E. bigger and a million times more awesome but if the additional campaign is unsuccessful, they are still going to finish M.O.R.E.
