Her Majesty's Spiffing Hits Kickstarter

Fans of classic point and click adventure games are sure getting spoiled in this era of crowdfunding – and we love every minute of it! The latest in this line of titles is Her Majesty’s SPIFFING by BillyGoat Entertainment. You may remember this uniquely-titled project as it originally launched on Kickstarter last December. Unfortunately, December is an incredibly tough time for crowdfunding so the campaign didn’t meet the goal. Now it’s back and already looks to be picking up steam.

Her Majesty’s SPIFFING brings players into a world where Her Majesty the Queen of England decides to issue Britain’s finest to explore space. The game takes place on spaceship HMSS Imperialise and is manned by Captain Frank Lee English and Sub-Lieutenant Aled Jones. These two make quite an odd pair as you’ll see if you check out some video of the game. As players journey through space they will discover other characters and (hopefully) laugh their way through the game’s many dialogue trees, puzzles, and mini games.

Her Majesty's Spiffing Hits Kickstarter

Since Her Majesty’s SPIFFING previous appearance on Kickstarter, BillyGoat Entertainment have been hard at work. Now their campaign comes complete with a playable demo for both Windows and Mac PCs. But don’t lose heart, Linux fans! The game is coming to all three major operating systems. The team hopes to raise £30,000 (about $48,000) via their Kickstarter. Oftentimes, we see second attempt campaigns lower their goal but not so here! It seems this was a smart choice too as funds are already being raised at a healthy pace.
