Three of the many things that I love are Lovecraftian tales, comedy, and adventure games. While two of those together makes perfect sense, and there have been plenty to choose from before, having all three together sounds like a recipe for disaster doesn’t it? Not necessarily, but this combination is anything but common. With Gibbous this looks to be a match made in comedic horror heaven. It certainly looks like it’s going to be worth keeping an eye on as it continues development. But apparently not without some help from fans of the above genres.

Gibbous looks like a great take on horror and humorous elements in your traditional point and click environment just based on the teaser trailer, which you can watch below. There’s currently little there beyond that you’ve got the most unlikely of heroes as they stumble upon the infamous Necronomicon and weird stuff happens. But, honestly that’s enough to keep my interest. Come April I’ll be able to know more about this interesting tale as according to their Web site that is when the Kickstarter for it will launch. So, keep an eye out. I know I will.
