When it comes to Kickstarter updates, I always read them, no matter how long or technical they become. With it being the end of the year, I’ve been getting recaps from projects still in development. This is no exception with Tokyo Dark, as Cherrymochi just released a “year in review” recap. This update briefly covers every monthly update posted since January. It’s a long-ish read, but it does go over eleven updates, plus what to expect in 2017.

Tokyo Dark

The full updates can still be read in their entirety. If you’re like me, and have an interest in what goes into making a game, I highly recommend checking them out. More frequent updates have been given to backers at a certain level. Unfortunately, I did not give enough to do so. However, what I have gotten through the monthly updates have been a great read so far.

In addition to the fun stuff that went on this year, the update for Tokyo Dark finishes off on a what to expect in the coming year. The original release date was supposed to be this October, but has been pushed back to sometime next year. No exact date has been set yet, but the update does pretty much guarantee a 2017 release. And I have to say I’m excited to finally get my hands on the final game.

Tokyo Dark

From what I could tell in the updates released since the Kickstarter launched, Tokyo Dark will be a game well worth playing just for the unique features they’ve been touting. Again, read the updates for the whole lowdown, but I honestly can’t wait to play it.
