Every week we take a brief look at all of the Kickstarter video game campaigns that launched in the previous week. This isn’t to say that all of these projects are worth your hard earned cash, but with any luck having all of them in one place will make it easier to educate yourself on the projects you’d like to back, and which ones to run from. You’ll find two types of campaigns listed, “featured” and “the rest“. Featured campaigns are those that contain a significant amount of game information, are from known developers, or are significant in some other way. The rest of the games are usually smaller campaigns that are lacking in information, are from unknowns, have unanswered questions, or have not yet stood out for one reason or another.
Featured Campaigns :
Well, here’s a first! There were no campaigns we felt were worth being featured last week. Don’t worry though, it was Christmas week so it makes sense. Look for more worthwhile campaigns to kick-off over the next few weeks!
The Rest of the Campaigns :
The Blonde Knight : A retro platformer starring the controversial Milo Yiannopoulos.
Project Nay : VR horror game with very little info available.
N.E.R.D. : An interesting looking roguelike. Always frustrated when developers show off their game in the funding video, but don’t include any screenshots on the campaign page.
The Legend of Gurren : Not much to see other than some pretty environments; there is a demo you can download though.
Catwoman: The Game : Something tells me this developer hasn’t received the OK from DC to make this game.
Zanith: War of the Syvars : $500,000 CAD for nothing.
City Under House : An RPG Maker game from a developer than ran a failed campaign for a completely different game a few weeks ago.
