Our Darker Purpose, Avidly WIld Games’ top down rogue-like action adventure RPG, has hit Steam today. Available for a discount $10.00 for the next week Our Darker Purpose is a Coraline inspired tale of a girl named Cordy who attends the creepy sounding Edgewood Home for Lost Children. Things go completely Lord of the Flies when the teachers disappear and now players must guide Cordy through a variety of procedurally generated levels in order to get to the bottom of things.
Our Darker Purpose is the result of a successful Kickstarter campaign from June 2013 that led to the developers raising over $40,000. That’s a pretty quick turn-around from campaign to release.
