That’s right, a parody of Star Trek.

Icarus-Proudbottom-Starship-Captain-1We have a mission to do something important, unlike any other crew in space that you’ve ever heard of. We explore brave new stars, probe deeply into the darkest holes of the universe, and go where others have deliberately decided not to go.

Wow. If I wanted a crew to venture into space on exploratory missions for me, without a doubt, I’m going with this one. The IBS Sea Pickle can handle just about anything.

Icarus Proudbottom: Starship Captain is a game like no other. Holy Wow studios, from New York City, have created several games in the Icarus Proudbottom universe, mainly dancing around the typing game genre and began this project before their second Icarus Proudbottom Teaches Typing! was even created. Originally, designed in Flash and Actionscript 2 in a low bit design, Starship Captain is now being redesigned in Unity at its utmost potential.

Though it may seem like an action game, don’t let it fool you. Icarus Proudbottom: Starship Captain is primarily intended to be a bridge simulator that’s driven by individual crew members and their stories.  The player will point and click their way around the characters to manipulate the ship’s movements and veer their way through space.

The two members of Holy Wow studios only work on their games in their spare time and want to work full time on Icarus Proudbottom: Starship Captain to get it done as soon as possible. Holy Wow studios needs $50,000 by June 22nd to make Icarus Proudbottom: Starship Captain a complete masterpiece. They’re relying on Kickstarter to fund that final push to complete the game.
