civcraft2Larkon Studio Inc. from Miami, Florida stumbled upon an idea that just may be a breakthrough in gaming. First person shooter, real time strategy, sandbox, and role playing, all combined into one game sounds just too good to be true. How could all of these genres work together so smoothly without one aspect weighing out the other?

CivCraft – Legends of Ellaria is designed to put the player right in the middle of a world that they have every right to manipulate to their heart’s content. Instead of watching the battles from afar, why not throw the player right in the middle of it? What about all the creative freedom and adventuring that can be achieved in an RPG? Players can build the world as they’d like it and live in it too.

civcraft3You can have your cake and eat it too!

Players are the ultimate ruler of the world in CivCraft and can customize it as they’d wish, including their character. Unfortunately, with ruling a kingdom comes war which is where the RTS element is incorporated. Once the player is sick of watching the world away from the action, they’re able to switch to first person mode – right in the action.

civcraft4The story direction is completely up to the player, whether they wish to follow a main quest line or be independent and pave their own way. Design. Build. Customize. Make the world yours.

CivCraft is planned to be a multiplatform game, adaptable for both consoles and PC. After two years of development, Larkon Studio Inc. is ready to finalize it, and they’re hoping to fund it through crowdfunding on Kickstarter. Their funding goal is high, $150,000, but for combining three different games into one, it’s reasonable.
