I’m going to tell you straight up –  I don’t know the first thing about cars. Despite getting me from point A to point B on a weekly basis it has just never been an obsession of mine! With that said, it’s not hard to recognize what an amazing prospect Street Tuning Evolution is. For gaming car fans, you may recall a game called Street Legal Racing from 2003. This title allowed players unprecedented customization of their car from basically every aspect imaginable. This new title looks to be a new title in much the same vein.

Street Tuning Evolution is a car sim that takes tuning to the next level on Kickstarter.Street Tuning Evolution is certainly made with those existing fans in mind because it makes continued reference to Street Legal Racing via its campaign pitch. This further cements that their original game really did cultivate such a longstanding community of players. In any case, with this new game the car modification and tuning features will be just as they were back then. The biggest changes coming to their new title is improved physics as well as much more impressive graphics. Both are possible thanks to their adoption of Unreal Engine 4. Modders will still be free to create new, tweaked features – and in fact modding is going to be made easier.

If you feel like the screenshots look super old or ugly, well, you’re right! They’re only posted to give a sense of what Street Tuning Evolution will bring to the table as far as creation and racing are concerned. Hopefully they do show off some actual screenshots, models, or other early footage soon enough. Without it even a large fanbase might not be able to push this campaign to its $150,000 goal.
