Who doesn’t love an action-RPG with roguelike elements? Vortex: Tears of the Abyss has launched its very own Kickstarter campaign, and is aiming to raise $25,000 by the 7th of November.

Why should you back the game? Well, it’s pretty, for a start. It’s a fully 3D game with an isometric viewpoint, and features some rather cute character models. Just look at their little round heads! If that’s not enough to win you over, I don’t know what will.VortexStill not convinced? Okay then, how about an emphasis on exploration and combat, with the inclusion of permadeath? That’s right, Vortex‘s world is as cruel and deadly as it is beautiful. Should players fall on their journey, they may very well have to restart the game from the beginning, adding not only extreme levels of tension to the combat, but an increased sense of value to the variety of collectible weapons and armors. Did I mention the environments are procedurally generated?

VortexIf that’s still not enough to attract you to the project, it’s worth mentioning that CrazyBearGames have put a lot of effort into their campaign. They go into plenty of detail, not just about the game but about their plan to bring it to life. There’s even a pie chart!

VortexSo there we have it. There’s now no reason for you not to back the campaign. So go ahead. Hand over your money. And while you’re at it, follow CrazyBearGames on Facebook and Twitter so they can give you plenty of updates. Stay tuned to Cliqist for future coverage of Vortex: Tears of the Abyss.
