CivCraft – Legends of Ellaria will now be known simply as Legends of Ellaria, according to an update on the game’s official Kickstarter page. It’s a good thing, too, because ‘CivCraft‘ sounds like something a machine would come up with. Talk about generic genre titles.

It’s not the only good news, either. Developer Larkon Studio Inc. has released a few new screenshots, showing off the game’s updated graphics engine, which I’ve included below for your viewing pleasure.

Very Oblivion-esque. I’m particularly fond of the atmospheric skyboxes. Not so sure about that HUD, though…

The team hopes to post some new videos next week of the game’s combat system. All in all, a small but significant update. Work on the open-world RPG is obviously coming along nicely, which I’m sure will be pleasing to the 952 backers who poured $36,785 into the project. That’s a lot of money for such a small donation pool. Here’s hoping Larkon Studio Inc. doesn’t let them down, otherwise CivCraft won’t be the only thing in need of a name change…
