Hegemony III is the third installment in the popular strategy video game series from Longbow Games.

Do you know of Longbow Games? If you’ve played Hegemony Gold: Wars of Ancient Greece or Hegemony Rome: The Rise of Caesar then you definitely know their work. These developers have proved time and time again that they know how to create incredibly engaging strategy titles for fans. Heck, just look at the previously mentioned games’ Steam pages which both have highly positive reviews! Hegemony III: Clash of the Ancients is the next chapter of Longbow Games’ history but this time they’re seeking the help of players directly.

You might remember that Hegemony Rome actually came to Steam Early Access. This was an attempt at seeking direct feedback and funds from fans, but Kickstarter is still uncharted territory for the team. Why should Hegemony (or strategy lovers in general) be excited for this game? For one, the RTS situates itself around Rome’s birth which was a very exciting and dangerous period. Those who played previous games will be more excited to hear that this version has a world 4 times larger than before. Of course to fill out that land there are 25+ factions to choose from.

Hegemony III is the third installment in the popular strategy video game series from Longbow Games. One completely new addition is that of the map editor. Now you’ll be able to create Hegemony III maps to share with other players. Of course, this also allows for custom campaign creation as well. A lot of the game has already been put into place by the developers which is why their Kickstarter goal is entirely reasonable at $30,000 CAD (about $26,000). Please note that there are a variety of limited early bird tiers available so seek those out if you’re a Hegemony super fan.
